Scent of Peace by Bond No. 9
Recently at a local boutique called Plain Jane in West Chester, PA I had the experience of smelling Bond No. 9's Scent of Peace. WOW! It is everything you want in an everyday fragrance. The notes are refreshing and captivating. Usually strong overpowering perfumes give me wicked headaches, but not this beauty. The thick lavender bottle is adorned with a dove in the middle to symbolize peace. Everytime I have this on people ask me what I am wearing. Of course I am never shy about telling anyone who asks b/c this perfume should be promoted. It is growing in popularity and is a must have for any fragranceofile.

Hey! There's a great post HERE referencing Scent of Peace. They said that it was the most difficult fragrance to make because it had to have global appeal. Whatever that means! Thought you'd enjoy!

You are right foxyroxy! It totally reminds me of Light Blue. I am so jazzed because Light Blue made me break out into hives so I had to stay away. Thank God for the scientists that test this stuff on monkeys to prevent all of us from getting irritated by it. Peace does not bother me at all.

I just received an entire collection of the Bond #9 sample scents to see what I thought of this line of scents! Scent of peice smells a LOT like Anna Sui's Secret Wish... It has many common notes.. (like most of them.) a nice scent but for the money Secret Wish is not as expensive.
For such a light scent, this has a lot going on. The initial opening bursts with grapefruit.. more like a syrupy grapefruit gelato. Yes... it almost seems like a gelato-sampler tray at an upscale Italian restaurant. As the handsome young waiter walks around you and those at your table with the tray.. you somehow get a whiff of something light, sweet and ever so slightly aquatic that might be his cologne.
In my humble opinion, I think THIS one should've been named "Little Italy".
For my tastes though, this one just seems strangely familiar in more ways than one. The opening is intensly fruity a la Escada Island/hippie something.... going into something L'eau Par Kenzo-esque...drying into a very faint rendition of Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue. This one is both interesting and boring...(if that makes sense)

The next one I am going to check out is Chinatown, but I don't know if it will be as good as Peace. Also I will try Anna Sui's Secret Wish for comparison purposes. Thanks for the tip.
